A simple rule to follow is to always use eye protection while loading in case you have a primer explosion. I personally use prescription wrap-around safety glasses as they are not much different than wearing my “normal” glasses.
-all money for social programs that the federal government sent to the provincial government were put together in one lump sum, and this number was reduced
When I spot ammo on the shelves for my weapons I generally pick up a few boxes and not hoard so others can stock up. Trying to be a good steward in that respect. Support the 2nd in every way you can, write your congressman, call your local LEO agencies, ask them if they support the 2nd as you may be surprised. Things are changing. Support only those who support us. Gavin is right, patience is the key.
Allen says: February 14, 2013 at 10:33 am I want to say I saw an article on this blog laying out all arms and ammo mfgs. lead time. Its a while. Were talking seis months to up to a year out on certain components/ammo/firearms, etc. I got a Hornandy LNL for Christmas and its still in the box…I was wanting to get into reloading before Christmas this year then Dec. 14th happened. Unless you have the time to relentlessly comb the internet for supplies, I think patience and time are gonna have to take care of this shortage, at least in my case.
9 years ago The combination of retirement, ammunition shortage of the recent preceding several years, and long term desire have worked to get me into the world of reloading. I have a neighbor, just down the road apiece, who has served as a knowledgeable mentor.

When I load, I typically clean the bench before-hand. I also am sure to keep only one canister of powder on the bench, and type of primers on the bench as well.

The load may not be the most consistent but depending on the round and components it can be pretty good. While not the best option reduced loads, using 4831 gun powder can be used remington primer copyright in some bottleneck cases, but again care should be taken if you want mild loads. A 308 case can’t hold enough 4831 powder to generate serious pressure especially with light bullets.
